Visualising the Future of Farming:
AgResearch Brand Video

AgResearch came to us with a need to wow investors in order to re-secure funding for their innovative science and exploration.

They had a short turnaround time, and were open to it taking any form that wowed a small panel of five delegates. With a small introduction to their sciences and some extra study of our own, we set to work.

They wanted a brand experience that could show off a bunch of their newest tech and research, but had a desire for it to be reused as a brand piece after the initial presentation.

Initially, we explored several different experiences with the client, from AR content to a projection-mapped experience on real objects.

Eventually, we dialled ourselves back in and resolved to work up the most concise option - a slick brand video. But we decided we still needed to go big, literally, so pitched that it would be shown on a massive 4 meter screen.

The key factor that added to the success of this project was really tight storyboards. We had one shooting day only, and had to make sure everything ran to our schedule as much as possible – there was a drone operator, UBCO bikes, hired utes and talent that were only available for a short time.

The result was a brand video that lived well beyond its intended purpose and is now the gateway content for AgResearch on their homepage.

It was EightyOne’s first project with AgResearch and cemented a relationship with them from a one-off opportunity to kicking-off many more.
